Jean Marie Brown

Before joining the Department of Journalism at TCU, Jean Marie Brown held management positions at the Star-Telegram and The Charlotte Observer. She also taught leadership at the Poynter Institute. Previously, she was a newspaper executive at Knight Ridder and McClatchy newspapers; and a reporter for The Post-Tribune in Gary, Indiana,   and the Chicago Bureau of The Wall Street Journal. During her time at The Post-Tribune, she co-authored an award-winning series that examined the effects of racial segregation on Northwest Indiana.
