Award-winning documentary filmmakers Tomorrow Pictures set out in 2022 to tell the story of Burmese refugees in Georgia, who like many other immigrants, settled initially in the Atlanta suburb of Clarkston but then followed chicken processing and warehouse jobs to rural Georgia. Initially, they partnered with the Georgia Asian Times, but the project bore fruit in 2024 once they partnered with 285 South, a relationship brokered and supported by The Pivot Fund.

The result? The Third Country, an award-winning documentary covered by Atlanta Magazine and set for streaming distribution in 2025.
